CANDY OASIS is a virtual reality chill-out zone to get lost in the moment and have fun forever!
After talking and then throwing away and old lollipop man, you find yourself in a heavy sandstorm which uncoveres an ancient, tasty looking temple. Can you solve the riddle and open the gates to the candy oasis?
We created this project as a group of four for our 3rd semester's main project. The goal was to conceptualize a virtual reality advertisement product for a brand and create a prototype for the apllication as well as a concept on how we would use this product in our marketing strategy. We chose to pretend to work for a certain lollipop company and designed it as part of a 🍌 Guerilla Marketing campain that fans of the brand can try out and make memories with it to connect them to the brand in a fun and enjoyable way.
This prototype features smooth locomotion with a climbing ability, liftoff momentum, interactive AI that looks at you or your hands, an own hand interaction system because the SteamVR stuff was just so confusing argh. sorry.. oh yeah and a lot of interactive items such as marry poppin's umbrella growing from trees and bouncy berries that you can throw into soda to create giant bubblegum bubbles that you can climb on! This sounds absolutly normal.
